The Acclaim Foodservice sales team which is comprised of 60+ combined years of experience in the food industry along with youthfulness is key to our long-term growth and staying in the forefront of change. Acclaim Foodservice avidly subscribes to the team approach when marketing products for our principals. Business Evolution
In the fall of 2011, we recognized the need for a focused foodservice broker in the SoCal market. The division has experienced steady growth since the inception. We have been selective in representation. We are building a best in class sales team combining experience, talent, and youth to achieve our goal.
In the winter of the 2017, Acclaim Foodservice joined the IBA which has provided us a great platform for learning how other foodservice brokers operate. The IBA has also provided a closer relationship with Sysco. In addition, we are in the process of upgrading our CRM system which will be aligned with all other IBA members.

Our Team
Chris Leahy, CEO/President
Chris has been in the food industry for over 30 years working in different capacities. Chris, a Northeastern University alumnus, holds degrees in Business Administration, Marketing and Political Science. Previous to entering the food industry, He worked in the CPG field, with General Electric, and with American Home Foods.
He joined the firm in 1994 coming from a major national brand marketer. He was Director of Sales for the Western Region of American Home Products, now known as ConAgra Foods. His extensive experience in guiding a direct sales force has improved our sales personnel’s effectiveness and efficiency working in the retail and foodservice areas.
Additionally, Chris has gained significant respect from the trade for his professional approach to selling. He has direct chain selling responsibilities and provides a senior manager’s approach to our selling challenges. He adds personal involvement in the entire process of the company.
He acquired Acclaim Marketing & Sales from the previous owner in 2008.
Ubaldo Escobedo, Director of Foodservice
Ubaldo has spent the last 20 years in the Foodservice business. He has had various positions in the brokerage industry working for Food Sales West and Advantage Way Point. He has represented major brands such as Tyson, Sara Lee, Simplot, Nestle Foodservice, Windsor Foods, etc. as a Senior Account Manager. Ubaldo brings experience in all facets of the industry a proven track record of growing business with new and existing customers, and specializing in identifying impactful conversion opportunities.
Ryan Moebius, Account Executive
Ryan brings several years of previous sales experience in wealth management prior to joining Acclaim. With a passion towards health and wellness, he brings an unparalleled understanding to this growing segment of foodservice. Ryan is our key link to US Foods. He brings a well thought out and analytical approach to the foodservice market.
Christine Santos, Account Executive
Christine is the newest member of our team bringing her experience from the manufacturer’s side. Her foodservice accomplishments include market entry for a new product, establishing distribution, developing GPO contracts, participation in AHF (Association of Healthcare Professionals), NACUFS (National Association of College and Universities Foodservice) and the Plant-Based Food Association.
Christy Puma, Account Executive
Christy brings a great understanding to the foodservice industry coming from decades of experience owning and operating a restaurant. She is now using that expertise to help other restaurant owners get great value out of phenomenal products.
