Chris has been in the food industry for over 30 years working in different capacities. Chris, a Northeastern University alumnus, holds degrees in Business Administration, Marketing and Political Science. Previous to entering the food industry, He worked in the CPG field, with General Electric, and with American Home Foods.
He joined the firm in 1994 coming from a major national brand marketer. He was Director of Sales for the Western Region of American Home Products, now known as ConAgra Foods. His extensive experience in guiding a direct sales force has improved our sales personnel’s effectiveness and efficiency working in the retail and foodservice areas.
Additionally, Chris has gained significant respect from the trade for his professional approach to selling. He has direct chain selling responsibilities and provides a senior manager’s approach to our selling challenges. He adds personal involvement in the entire process of the company.
He acquired Acclaim Marketing & Sales from the previous owner in 2008.
Ryan has 9 years experience in the industry. Ryan's previous role in wealth management prior to joining Acclaim lends his analytical and strategic skills in business development and market share growth. Ryan pioneered E-Com distribution, and works closely with many operators. Key wins in MURC, institutional accounts, Ghost Kitchens and more. Ryan leads onboarding and planning for new clients. He helps in all aspects of our business and heads up our CRM and Data Analytics. Ryan is a declared "foodie" and brings a fresh outlook when preparing different dishes for our clients.
Ubaldo has spent the last 20 years in the Foodservice business. He has had various positions in the brokerage industry working for Food Sales West and Advantage Way Point. He has represented major brands such as Tyson, Sara Lee, Simplot, Nestle Foodservice, Windsor Foods, etc. as a Senior Account Manager. Ubaldo brings experience in all facets of the industry a proven track record of growing business with new and existing customers, and specializing in identifying impactful conversion opportunities. In addition, Ubaldo spent several years as a Sous Chef, giving us a strong culinary background.
Christy brings years of industry experience as an owner operator and the last 3 years as a broker sales representative. Her operator experience makes her an excellent addition to our team, working with local operators and MURCs. She has an in-depth understanding of the back of the house operations and can provide creative culinary solutions to our customers. Christy works closely at the distributor level and with the sales teams. Always willing to pitch in and help. Her experience as a restaurant owner brings lots of culinary benefits to our team.
Jean-Marie brings over 10 years experience in the Foodservice industry to Acclaim Foodservice, spending most of that time with Acosta Foodservice. She has worked in many aspects of the industry. She started out as an event coordinator, then operator sales and was promoted to distributor representative. She has also worked on the manufacturer side and at the operator level. She currently works with several local distributors and operators. Her vast background and experience provides in-depth knowledge of our industry. She continues to grow and add tremendous value to our team.
Bety brings years of Foodservice Brokerage experience as our resident expert in the K-12 segments. She is part of the California School Nutrition Association and works closely with Southern California school districts. She manages all aspects of the K-12 bid process including award tracking, menu planning following pattern rules, and commodity processing. She also manages non-commercial accounts such as C&U, and Hospitality. Bety continues to grow these segments of our business. She brings many great insights to the business.
Ron brings a wealth of expertise to our team. He has been in sales his entire career, and the last 14 years as a Marketing Associate at Sysco Foods of Ventura. He started from the ground up and worked his way up to a top earner, with sales in excess of $6 million per year. Ron mentored all new sales people in his team, and each one of them exceeded their goals of bringing on new business.
Some of his accolades include: achieving sales and gross profit excellence, Chairman's Club, President's Club, and several million-dollar achievement awards. He is very knowledgeable in all categories of the food industry, such as meat, dry goods, frozen, dairy, disposables, etc. Ron is a welcome addition to our team.
Matt Dyer is a foodservice professional with 20+ years of experience in the industry. While working on his bachelor's in Communication studies at CSU Long Beach, he worked as a Journeyman Meatcutter. After college, Matt worked as a Sales Executive in the College and University sector for a national distribution company for just under 9 years. Matt cut his teeth as a broker over 4 years at Acosta/Core Foodservice as a Sysco specialist in the San Diego area. He has represented many national lines, such as Nestle, Aspire/Otis, Danone, Campbell's, Highliner Seafood, and McCain Potato. Matt is an expert regarding the San Diego market as well as having close relationships with with operators. Matt feels the most important characteristic of a foodservice professional is integrity. Matt employs a collaborative sales approach, with critical problem solving and an old school attitude regarding customer service. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter at many of San Diego's beautiful beaches. His favorite pastimes are surfing and playing golf.
Lisa has over 25 years experience in the food business. She is key contact and liaison between manufacturers and the distributors, helping with pricing, ordering, logistics and over all support of the AFS team and customer inquiries as backup support for sales.
